Best Gaming Experience through Video Game Deals

Video Game Reviews

One of the most sought digital experiences an individual is looking for these days is the great encounter of playing the best games either on console, or online. The player considers the game title, genre, audio, graphics, and game play when choosing the game he wants to spend time with. To have an assurance that this experience will not be a flop along with the money being worth it, gamers rely on video game news where they are given reviews and previews of the game to be bought.

With the so many games released these days, a gamer may ask of what video games are the best things to play. Month after month, there are better and newer games that are being sold in shops where you need to think if the game will be bought is worth the expense and the money to be spent. Although there have been gaming titles that we have already been used to seeing, playing other games can be a good investment since the same title and genre can be quite sickening on some occasions, even to the point where you need to play something else to have a different atmosphere when playing the game of your choice and liking.

With this mentioned, some gamers have gone through the path where they have tried to take the risk in buying games without having much of an idea on what the game is about, and if it is play and time worthy to begin with. This is the reason why some sites have created video game reviews so that a player can know something about the game before buying it. Though you can play some titles on video game shops before you buy it, it can be some sort of inconvenience to you and to the store attendant if the games will be tested on the spot.

Heavy Rain – Video Game Review

Video Game Reviews

When a game is released with as much hype as Heavy Rain, I get a sinking feeling in my stomach. How many times previously have we been told this is the greatest game ever created, only to abandon it after 15 minutes of game play due to that felling of same old same old? I have to say before I go any further that no, Heavy Rain isn`t the greatest game ever to hit the shelves, but for a riotous and addictive assault on your senses, it comes pretty close.

Unless you`ve been on vacation to Mars recently, you can`t have failed to miss the marketing campaign. In turn, you should already know that the story revolves around a quartet of protagonists who are fighting to first track down and ultimately capture a serial killer known by the pseudonym the Origami killer. A simple premise indeed, but greatly improved by the way the story is told in an unapologetically adult manner. By adult I don`t mean graphic sex and violence, I mean that it respects the player and doesn`t patronize as so many of these types of game invariably do. You actually feel empathy with the characters as you explore their psyche, this gives a much more rewarding experience than other RPG games do.

Something that could have been made better is the non-traditional way that you interact with the setting. The buttons and sticks for the various commands are cumbersome at best, and although they don`t spoil the game play, they do get frustrating at times. The biggest downfall is the when you are trying to control the movements of your characters, there isn`t a direct link and seems to be more of a half hearted attempt. One thing I would strongly advise is to play Heavy Rain via a Dualshock3 controller. Not since Metal Gear Solid has the rumble feature been used to such great effect.

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty – Video Game Review

Video Game Reviews

I’ve been waiting a long time for the sequel to Starcraft. I wasn’t exactly sure if Blizzard could update the game and still keep the same feel. I am happy to say that they have! The game play you know and love from the original is all there but the graphics have been brought into the 21rst century. Here is a quick run down of my experience so far:

Graphics: I’m not running the most state-of-the-art computer, but the game runs great on the “High” settings. I’m running an Intel E7400 with 4 GB of RAM and Dual NVidia 9600 GT OC’s in SLI. I had just a bit of stutter on “Ultra” settings, so I turned it down a bit.

Sound: The audio is a mix of “blast from the past” and “Wow! That is cool they added that!”

An avid gamers of Starcraft  will noticed right away with regards to menu , You can even select the music you want to play as the background  and lastly an allies that wil response.

Control: I hope you remember your hotkeys from SC1 because you’ll be needing them. The interface is pretty much cut and paste from SC1 but it has been updated for today’s graphics. Camera control is very nice, but I haven’t yet found a way to rotate the view and you are pretty limited to how far you can zoom out.

Single-player  play games : There are some interesting new aspects to the single-player game. You get to research upgrades and purchase new types of units (warning: some of these units are NOT available in multi-player). You also get delivered the storyline in face-to-face chats with other characters as well as through the standard cut scenes.  As for during mission game play, Blizzard has stayed true to form. Basically if you likes SC1 in single-player, you should love SC2′s single-player mode.

Bayonetta Video Game Review

Video Game Reviews

Bayonetta is a game that will intrigue players just by its sheer sense of curiosity. It is a completely wacky game that tugs on every cord of imagination. The game revolves around a girl who must fight her way through the game in order to complete her mission. It is a game that will have you laughing and wondering at the same time, but in the end will have you love it to its core.

Bayonetta is not just a game that involves crazy scenes and unbelievable stunts and enemies; it also has a strong plot. Bayonetta herself is a witch that has been asleep for over five hundred years. She has waked from the bottom of the sea and has a memory that is a bit foggy. She can remember however, that she needs to find ‘The eyes of the world` and through the help of an onlooker, discovers that she must head to a city called Vigrid to find them.

The journey begins as Bayonetta stands in front of a clock face with an army of enemies behind her. The clock face falls and crumbles off of a mountain top and slams on the ground, and that is the prelude to the rest of the game. The game drifts in and out of insanity, with crazy things happening all around her. And as insane as the game is, she fits into the role as in one scene; she stores a monster up in her hair.

The combating in the game is what sets it apart from the rest. The fighting fives you the ability to perform feats and be part of the magic of the game. You can use a powerful item concoction mode, a comprehensive scoring system with leader boards and a screen disguised as a practise mode.

The Beatles Rock Band is a game that was well anticipated by fans of the Beatles and by gamers alike. For anyone who enjoys playing rock band games, this game is a fun experience. Even if you never grew up listening to the Beatles music, you just might become a fan of their music when you hear it like this. An easy game with lots of history built in and fun facts about The Beatles and their band.

For hard core fans of The Beatles, this game will provide a new outlet to enjoy the band and a fun way to explore the music and pay tribute to a well loved group. Best Video Game Review: Final Fantasy Xiii

Video Game Reviews

Well, Final Fantasy XIII is out and hitting the store’s by storm! If you’re a gamer: you should know about the Final Fantasy series. It is one of the best turn-by-turn strategy rpg games out there.

The traditional FF game has changed over the years but still has the turn-by-turn strategy game play. Usually when playing FF you are set in one path to take. After play for awhile gamers get to choose a path that is open and free. Gamer has a little more freedom. Which makes FF XIII one of the best RPG game out there?

The new battle system is a lot better than previous FF. Now you can stack your attacks to better optimize the battle, the way you want in which the character has different roles in the game. The developers decided to make the game in HD which they have never done before. The cut scenes are so detailed; it actually puts gamers in the game.

Since the launch in Japan, the world has been waiting for game to be released to other countries, and now it is here. Some controversy is surrounded with the game. Some of the traditional game play that Final Fantasy is known for is gone: like the NPC, open towns and the open world. But the developers made it more of a story driven to make it more dramatic. This made some unexpected reviews of the game.

But like the generation we are in now, people rather have games more story driven. It puts gamers in the hot sit. Make us want more! Getting this game is a must. Especially, with the technology of today.

Mass Affect 2 – Video Game Review

Video Game Reviews

Mass affect 2 is a game that has made some small changes from its first version. Some say the graphics are better and others say there are some miner bugs in the game. And while there are some pros and cons to this exciting game, most gamers would agree that they are up for the challenge and can’t wait to play it.

Almost everyone is attracted to the universe, so for anyone who is also a gamer, putting the two together can be magic for some people. This game has you spinning through the universe on a ship that had to be replaced. The first one blew up just seconds into the game.

The game begins with a tragedy as the SSV Normandy is attacked and blown to pieces and the fate of the protagonist Sheppard is unclear. Your job is to investigate the situation and look for clues. You also need to confront vicious forces behind the mystery. You owe an illusive man your life and he follows you wherever you go and stays in your shadows.

You rebuild a new team called the Normandy SR-2. Your team consists of wild characters that might have you in stitches laughing with their antics and jokes. Your crew will help you battle out any enemies shall they come your way.

The main plot is conventional science fiction and has a predictable close. You have to complete missions but not all missions are combating but as you build through the developments you actually build on your characters development. The writing and dialogue between characters is excellent and the characters have detailed facial expressions and voice matched to feelings giving into that sense of reality.

Video Game Reviews

Portal is a single player game that is compact with a lot of action and puzzles to solve, this is a very popular game, and you play with this special gun that can open up portals two at a time.

The gun works as follows: you fire a ball into the wall (the entrance) then this ball opens up a portal but you will have to fire the second ball to the place you want to exit. It works like a teleporter.

Through the game you will have to overcome various obstacles using your portal gun and any object you can find useful to help you continuing.

Portal game uses the legendary engine of the game series Half-Life, meaning it has the graphic style of Half-Life and it uses the Half-Life engine.

Portal contains a series amount of different levels, each one getting more difficult and complicated as you make progress in the game.

The game developers designed this game for all ages, if it is to sharpen your brain, just to relax and have fun, or if you enjoy playing games, the developers also added a humoristic comedy into the game and its story.

Portal is not one of those games that have only one way to do things, in Portal you can find your own way to complete the goal and that is what makes this game even more fun.

The player if you want you can activate commentary mode that tells you how and what they did to activate this effect and you can click on various icons throughout the game to listen how they came up with the idea and how they designed that certain area.

Bourne Conspiracy Video Game Review

Video Game Reviews

Being a fan of the Robert Ludlums Bourne series, I was very interested to see a Bourne game out. Now, movie games are usually not very good, actually, there are few examples of good movie games and Bourne Conspiracy is no exception.

The game starts a few days before where the first movie begins. Here you are creeping around the docks trying to get to the boat where your target is. To get there, your going to have to battle a few nameless henchmen, and well thats about it.

Controlling Bourne is not always the easiest task. He is a big guy and there are narrow passage ways. Combined, you get one headache after another when your trying to run and you keep running into walls. Even the slightest clip on a wall will have you running in one spot like a 1980′s treadmill. Taking cover behind walls is not always very effective nor an easy task. The game is using the unreal 3 engine, tries to give us a very Gears of War cover system, only not as effective. Think of it as how TMNT used Ubisofts prince of Persia engine.

The shooting in the game is also clunky and hard to master. Again, using the unreal 3 engine, the game uses the pop out, over the shoulder technique. And like the cover system, it fails. Getting a headshot is more difficult than getting Gary Busey to make sense when talking about anything. Now on to maybe the games only saving grace, the fighting.
